Establish a brand identity and website that would fit with the existing business family while forming its own reputation.
We produced a website focused around showcasing completed projects, validating the business’ services.
A website that can be updated as needed giving users an insight into the way the business approaches its projects.
A Company Needing Our Expertise
The demand from the market resulted in the Bourne Group creating a new division within its organisation; Bourne Sport. They had struggled to internally dedicate the time to create a new identity, and needed external assistance. They needed a brand identity that would create a connection to their sister companies and a website that enabled them to keep customers up-to-date with completed projects.
Focusing On What The Business Needs To Achieve
The design and development of the brand identity for this business would mirror that of its sister company; Bourne Amenity. Bourne Sport was originally created within Bourne Amenity, but its demand had grown beyond the need of being tied to the original company. Bourne Sport would share the same logo structure as Bourne Amenity, but with variations in name and colour. This indicated the connection between the businesses while also creating a distinct identity.
The proposed website would focus on the completed project case studies and services provided by Bourne Sport, driving potential customers to get in touch.
A Confused Identity Meant A Confused Target Market
Due to the speed at which the new division was set up, confusion had occurred on which services applied to which company. The situation would continue to escalate unless a clear distinction between the divisions was established.
The framework for a new identity was already waiting to be utilised—that’s where we could help.
Creating Distinction Amongst The Divisions
A revised brand name, and a colour scheme derived from the parent brand, was developed for the Bourne Sport business.
The website’s case studies would highlight how the sport surface looked before and after the project was completed and list the services used to achieve the final results.
The website prototype progressed rapidly through the fidelity levels once the underlying structure had been approved. The next steps were to focus on leading users towards speaking directly to a Bourne Sport representative.
Refined; a logo better suited to the digital world.
A Responsive Website Optimised For Readers
With a website design focused around article based content, the build would need to ensure that it brought this to life in a performant way.
Google Structured Data was configured to be generated for the case studies that appear on the site to ensure readability and indexability of the case studies.
A New Identity Established With Room To Grow
Upon completion of the website build, brand identity guidelines were supplied to the client. These defined the capabilities and restrictions of the logo, colour schemes, and selected fonts.
Update
Since the launch of the new website and brand identity, Bourne Sport has now gone from being a division of Bourne Amenity to becoming its own registered business.
